Congratulations to two new winners! Shawnee and Janel! Each won a great book to read at the beach. Shawnee chose The Liar’s Diary by Patry Francis, and Janel wanted The Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer. Congratulations, you two! If you’ll send your shipping information to katrina (at) stonoff (dot) com, I’ll get your books in the mail.
For next week, once again you can win any book I’ve mentioned. It can be a book I’ve already given away, one I’ve referred to on the blog, something I’ve reviewed here or here, or any book on either of my giveaway shelves.
Just leave a comment, telling me which book you want, before noon Sunday (Pacific Time). I’ll choose a winner from one of my hats. Contest is open to anyone, anywhere, as long as mail service can reach you.
Here’s the hat from which Mars chose the winner today.
This is probably the hat I’ve worn the most. It’s 100 percent wool, made by Michael Howard, with details added by Joe Bill Miller. I used to have a darling wool suit with a navy pencil skirt, and a jacket made of the same fabric as the hatband. I bought the set at a little boutique in the Foothills Mall in Tucson, Arizona in the late 1980s.

What a lovely shade of blue on the hat! You look great in hats. I can’t wear them at all. The book I would enjoy winning is “Plain Truth” written by Jodi Piccoult. Thanks for another fabulous giveaway drawing. Cindi
**Edited to add: I have a theory that almost anyone can wear hats, but you have to find the right type of hat for your face shape, etc. You’ll notice I haven’t shown pics of me in ALL the hats. Some of them look terrible on me. Katrina**

Great hat. Ok. I just spent about an hour trying to figure out which book I’d like to read. I also bookmarked several in my to read file.
I think I’d like The Sleeping Beauty Proposal or Plain Truth. Either one would be great.
August 3, 2008 at 4:06 am |
I love all of your hats, but I especially love this one! =D I love the blue, and the way it totally matches the blouse you’re wearing in the picture! Sadly, I don’t have many hats (and if I do, I don’t wear them!) because I always get hat hair, and they make my head look funny. (I guess my head isn’t the right shape for hats, lol!)
Oooh, and it is so hard trying to pick a book! I couldn’t decide between The Kite Runner, My Sister’s Keeper and Where the Heart Is. So out of these I randomly picked My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult! Thanks so much for this AWESOME giveaway, and I hope you have a great day! =D
